General Rules:

1. The courts are available between the hours of 8:00 AM and 10:30 PM for use by members in good standing and their guest while playing with a member. No guest may use the tennis courts in the absence of his/her sponsoring member.
2. Children 10 and under must have adult supervision while on court.
3. The courts are to be used for tennis only. Tennis shoes and shirts must be worn on the courts. The use of skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, bicycles and the play of street hockey are not allowed.
4. Glass containers are not allowed on the courts.
5. Spectators are to remain outside the courts.
6. Offensive language and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated on the courts or surrounding area.
7. Committee approved events such as ALTA/USTA or K-Swiss matches or community based tournaments take precedence over regular play. The Tennis Committee must approve any regularly scheduled event. All tennis events will be posted on the online calendar.

 Reservation Policy:

1. Members must use the online reservation system to reserve club courts.
2. Reserve one week out only – 7 days in advance (excludes team/league reservations).
3. When reserving a court, only one member name is required for the appropriate time and the corresponding court.
4. Reservation time is limited to 2 hours and should start on the hour or half hour.
5. Reserved court time shall not be extended by two or more players signing up for consecutive periods under their separate names.
6. Reserved court time shall be forfeited if the players are not present and ready to play ten minutes after their scheduled start time. The remainder of a forfeited period may be claimed by any players present and ready to play.
7. As a courtesy, please cancel court reservations as soon as possible, if unable to play.

Avondale Swim and Tennis Club exists solely for the recreation of its members, and the membership’s welfare is the sole consideration and responsibility of the Board of Directors. 

The Board of Directors and the Tennis Committee administer the Tennis Rules. The Tennis Committee’s responsibility is to monitor the observance of these rules.

These rules can be reviewed annually, and changed with the approval of the Tennis Committee and the Board of Directors.
