It's that time again! We will begin our 3rd season of Avondale Team Party Tennis (ATPT) on Friday, July 11th at 7:00 pm. This season, we will have 3 matches (6 teams) playing on all four courts each Friday night. Four teams will play on the private courts, and two teams will play each other using both of the city courts. Since the city courts aren't lighted, we will be able to complete them more quickly if we use both. If we have 8 teams total, the season will last 9 weekends and you will have a couple weekend Friday nights off.
How it works
As with last year, you will be creating your own teams. You will need a minimum of 2 men and 2 women per team, but we suggest 8 players total per team. Those eligible to play are all pool members and non-Avondale residents. Please be careful when submitting your roster that you include only those eligible to play. Non-residents will owe a $3.00 court fee for each match that they play. When you submit your roster, please indicate members and non-members. Captains are responsible for paying non-resident fees.
We will reserve all courts and the pavilion for the extent of the season (which will depend on the number of teams that register). Please remember that the purpose of this format is to have a great time and meet other resident tennis player/pool members. All skill levels are encouraged to participate. Half the fun of the event is the noise-making and socializing.
